DAB dantza konpainia, formed in 2022, is a contemporary dance company that understands the body as a space for memory, territory and shared emotion. Its language combines a refined aesthetic with a strong human dimension, establishing a constant dialogue between movement, music and stage presence. Directed by Marina Eskisabel and Iker Sanz, the company was created with the aim of bringing dance closer to the public through projects that address social and cultural issues, generating spaces for creativity, mediation and encounter.
Its work is structured around three complementary lines: the creation of contemporary dance shows that combine artistic innovation and social commitment; the development of proposals in museums and cultural spaces through workshops and dance tours that activate new ways of relating to heritage; and projects focused on well-being, where movement is used as a tool to strengthen self-knowledge, self-esteem and collective bonds. Through these lines, DAB builds sensitive experiences that connect the artistic with the human.
The company’s name defines its working philosophy: DAB stands for Dantza, Arte eta Bitartekaritza (Dance, Art and Mediation). Dance is the basic discipline from which the other languages are articulated; art reflects the constant dialogue with other artistic disciplines; and mediation occupies a central place as a tool for generating links between creation, social context and community.
